As a store-front business in the Ferment-on-Premises, UVin winemaking, UBrew beer industry, our operation is regulated by the British Columbia government’s Liquor & Cannabis Regulation Branch.
We offer our customers the ingredients, equipment and guidance to make their own wine, beer, cider and coolers in our shop.
Together with shop staff, customers must assist in placing the ingredients in the primary fermentation vessel, and sprinkle the yeast. At completion, the customer must bottle their beverages.
Once their beverage is made and bottled, the customer must take possession immediately and take their product home for private consumption. Their beverage cannot stay on-site at VanIsle Wine & Beer Makers.
Beverages made at a UBrew cannot be sold to others. At the time of purchase, customers sign a declaration indicating that the product will be for personal use or by others at no charge. And of course, minors are not allowed on premises, and are not allowed to purchase these products.
At VanIsle Wine and Beer Makers, we encourage responsible drinking and advise that these beverages should be consumed in moderation. Know your limit, and never drink and drive.
