We’re doing our part to help prevent the spread of the CoronaVirus. We want you to have confidence when making your beer or wine at VanIsle Wine and Beer Makers. This is our current COVID-19 preparedness plan.
Our aim is to minimize exposure to potential contamination by
- undergoing thorough, rigorous and regular cleaning of all sections of our shop,
- restricting access to portions of our shop, including the production room and bottling room, and
- ensuring our staff sanitize in the production and bottling room.
In essence, our process ensures no one works with your beverages unless they are sanitized. All equipment will continue to be sanitized on an ongoing basis. Only staff members will be allowed access to production areas.
Cleaning
Cleaning consists of regularly washing all surfaces with a bleach based cleaner. This includes all doors, handles, tables, counters, equipment including telephones, remote controls, and devices used in the course of our business.
Regular special cleaning will be done on the handles, doors, counters, and any areas touched by staff or customers.
Hygiene
Hand washing is mandatory for anyone in the bottling or production areas.
Hands must be washed for a minimum of 30 seconds, including, at a minimum, a final wash with soap.
“How to wash your hand” posters are posted at all sinks.
Hand cleaning must be done after handling cash and when transitioning from the showroom to the bottling or production facility.
“Good hygiene” posters which remind everyone of best practices are posted throughout our facility.
Bottling
A thorough hand wash is required before bottling.
Customers will sanitize all bottles and containers first in a bleach-based solution, then rinse and sanitize with either a bleach or sulphite based sterilizer, depending on the product being bottled.
Shrink wraps will be applied, if requested. Labels can be supplied, if requested, and put on at home.
